What is the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?

Our office is accepting The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) to help ease financial barriers to accessing oral health care for eligible Canadian residents, beginning on July 8, 2024. Our team is committed to helping you achieve a healthier smile. Please call our office at 416-410-0000 to book your appointment now.

What you should know about the CDCP

Once enrolled, the welcome package you receive from Sun Life will include the date you can start seeing an oral health provider. Appointments can only be scheduled on or after your coverage start date.

Your start date will depend on:

  • when your application is received
  • when your enrolment is completed

While the first group of CDCP clients will be eligible beginning in May, at Humewood Dental, we will only be able to accept eligible patients starting July 8. This delay is due to barriers initially put forth by the government in the claims submission process.

PLEASE NOTE:

This is not a free dental program. The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) does not cover the full amount of treatment cost in accordance with the Ontario Dental Association's suggested procedural fees, therefore there will be a co-payment at each appointment.
